Every Spravato visit at Wesley Chapel follows the FDA REMS (Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy) protocol exactly. REMS is the federal program that makes Spravato treatment possible in the outpatient setting, and it governs how the medication is stored, how it is administered, and how long a patient must be observed after each dose. Our Wesley Chapel clinical team is REMS-certified and was trained on the current protocols within the past year, which means the team is working from the most recent REMS clinical guidance rather than the version that existed when the original NeuroSpa clinics first went online. Every session includes baseline blood pressure and heart rate checks at intake, continuous monitoring through the required 2-hour observation window, and a final clearance check before you leave.
Important: you cannot drive yourself home after a Spravato session. Federal Spravato safety guidelines require that you not drive a motor vehicle, operate machinery, or engage in activities requiring full alertness until the next day after a restful sleep. If your driver plans to wait in the area rather than make two trips, The Shops at Wiregrass is about ten minutes away on SR 56 and has a full selection of restaurants, coffee, and errand-friendly retail. The Tampa Premium Outlets are only slightly farther. Many Wesley Chapel drivers treat the 2-hour window as protected time to work from a coffee shop or run household errands.

If you live in Wesley Chapel, Lutz, Land O’ Lakes, Zephyrhills, Dade City, Trinity, New Port Richey, or the broader SR 54 and SR 56 corridors, the Ashley Oaks Circle office is almost always the shortest drive for you and your driver.
The clinic sits just off SR 56 with direct I-75 access from Exit 275, which makes it practical for patients coming from The Villages and farther north on I-75, as well as for patients commuting in from the New Tampa and Bruce B. Downs corridor south of the office. Most trips from Wesley Chapel proper, Land O’ Lakes, or Lutz take under 15 minutes; Zephyrhills and Dade City add only a few more. Patients driving down from The Villages typically reach the office in about 50 to 60 minutes depending on traffic on I-75.
For Spravato patients based closer to central or southern Tampa, our Tampa location covers northwest Tampa, and our Brandon location is usually closer for eastern Hillsborough.
